The World's Largest Video Library

Winter 2026ActiveB2BInfrastructureVideoData LabelingBig DataAISan Francisco, CA, USA
We're building the world's largest library of videos by combining public videos collected from the open web and private videos aggregated from thousands of different sources. Both feed into a single, continuously updating index of billions of videos that we clean, search, and label to build custom datasets for AI teams. If a lab needs 100K hours of cooking videos featuring hand-object interactions with no scene changes, we query our index, extract the matching subset, and deliver a clean, structured dataset in days.

Market Opportunity
AI training data is a multi-billion dollar market with explosive demand driven by frontier model labs, robotics companies (embodied AI needs video data), and enterprise AI teams. The ICP is clear: AI labs and enterprise AI teams needing custom video datasets. Monetization is straightforward — charge per dataset delivered. Video data specifically is underserved relative to text/image data.

Founder Signal
CTO Alexzendor Misra has the strongest profile: dropped out of UCSB CS, built Correkt (indexed 800M webpages, 43k users), and has 3.5 years of Berkeley AI research experience dating back to 2018. CEO Bryan Hong is a Berkeley dropout with research publications but thin industry experience. COO Braiden Dishman has AWS risk specialist experience (internship + 7 months full-time) and co-founded Correkt. Andre Braga's LinkedIn returned a 404 — can't verify his MIT background. Overall a young team with one legitimately impressive builder (Misra) but limited enterprise sales or data infrastructure experience.
Medium Signal
Competition
No competitor data was returned in research, but known players include Scale AI (dominant in data labeling), Hugging Face datasets (open-source, not custom), Twelve Labs (video AI but search-focused), and various scraping/labeling boutiques. Shofo's claimed moat is scale of video index + speed of custom dataset delivery — differentiated if real, but scale claims ('world's largest') are unverified. Big players like Scale AI could easily expand into this vertical.
Medium Signal
Product
Website shows a live product with a 'Get Data' CTA and a Hugging Face integration, suggesting real datasets are accessible. The example use case (cooking videos with hand-object interactions) is specific and compelling. However, no named customers, revenue metrics, or usage numbers are cited — just a landing page with a demo concept.
OverallB Tier

Shofo is attacking a real and growing market — custom video datasets for AI labs — with a plausible technical approach. The CTO (Misra) has genuine builder credibility via Correkt's 800M page index and 43k users, which shows the team can actually build large-scale data infrastructure. The core weakness is that the team is very young (mostly recent dropouts/new grads), one co-founder's LinkedIn is a 404, there are no named customers or revenue figures, and the 'world's largest' claim is unverified marketing. The Hugging Face integration suggests something real exists, but this is pre-traction. Worth watching — if they can land 2-3 named AI lab customers, this becomes an A.
