The Interface Design Canvas for AI agents

Glue is an open source design editor for AI agents. It gives coding agents an infinite canvas to create new interfaces, iterate on existing ones, and turn those changes into production-ready code all in real time. The rise of coding agents is collapsing EPD into one role: builders. This new paradigm means design and engineering can now converge to a single workflow. Builders no longer want static mockups in one tool, and implementation in another. Glue is a collaborative workspace where builders and agents can create new components, iterate on existing interfaces, and implement as code. The same tight feedback loop that once made Figma powerful for designers is now built for builders and their armies of agents. Being open source allows us to penetrate workflows at zero cost and build trust quickly. Right now there are no design tools with AI as the primary user. Existing tools bolt on copilots as an afterthought. Soon, every company will have AI agents building their interfaces. We are building the surface for this workflow.

Verdict

Medium Signal
Market Opportunity
Developer tooling for AI-assisted frontend development is a real and growing market, but the ICP is still fuzzy — it targets 'builders' using coding agents, which is currently a small but rapidly expanding segment. The open-source-first, zero-cost penetration strategy delays monetization clarity. No pricing page or enterprise contracts visible.

Founder Signal
Perbhat has ~2.5 years at Amazon (Android/backend on Fire Tablet) and ~1.25 years at Microsoft Copilot Studio working on RAG/search infrastructure — directly relevant to the product. Tejas brings 3 years at Microsoft (Azure DNS, scaling to millions of QPS) and 1 year at Meta building agentic ad workflows. Both are solid mid-level engineers but not senior or staff-level, no previous exits, and Glue is their first co-founded startup together.
Low Signal
Competition
The space is crowded: Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0 by Vercel, Lovable, Bolt, and Builder.io all overlap in AI-assisted UI/frontend development. Figma is adding AI features aggressively. The 'visual layer for coding agents' angle is a specific niche, but the differentiation from v0/Lovable isn't immediately obvious, and the largest players (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) are already planning integration — which is listed as 'Planned' on Glue's own site, meaning those platforms could absorb this functionality.
Medium Signal
Product
The website shows a functional product with specific features (comment-on-UI, component grabbing, CLI setup), framework detection, and integrations with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex already supported. However, it's primarily 'Get Started' / 'Book a Demo' with no named customer logos, revenue figures, or usage metrics. The open-source positioning and one-command setup suggest early-stage but real product.
OverallC Tier

Glue has two technically credible engineers with directly relevant experience (Copilot Studio RAG, Azure infra, Meta agentic workflows) and a real product that runs today with Claude Code and Codex support. However, the market is extraordinarily crowded — v0, Lovable, Bolt, and Cursor all eat into the same 'AI-assisted frontend building' space, and Cursor/Copilot being listed as 'Planned' integrations means the primary distribution channels are also potential acqui-hires or feature competitors. The open-source, zero-cost strategy makes sense for adoption but leaves monetization entirely unclear. No traction signals — no logos, revenue, or user numbers — make this feel like a well-built MVP still searching for its wedge.
