Automated Multi-Modal Testing for Agents

Ashr is a fully contained test and evals platform that improves AI agents by ensuring accuracy and quality across a wide range of user journeys through your product. Ashr generates user journeys through your agents’ tool calls, results, and questions. We don’t generate one off tests, we generate large amounts of authentic user stories through your product, and pick up on errors, inconsistencies, and failures that would otherwise take hours of manual testing or get caught by a customer. We also work to ensure agent response quality in line with your business goals by offering custom evaluation metrics. Ashr works with voice, text, automated website generation, image, file generation, and multimodal. We’re also willing to generate custom input types or make modifications for anyone interested. Currently, we integrate as an SDK, and are proactively working to make our documentation and resources as accessible and easy to use as possible.

Verdict

High Signal
Market Opportunity
AI agent testing/evals is a real and growing B2B market as enterprise agent deployments accelerate — every company shipping agents needs this infrastructure. ICP is clear: engineering teams building AI agents. Monetization path via SDK/platform subscription is standard and defensible. TAM expands with every new agent deployment.
Low Signal
Founder Signal
Both founders are current UC Berkeley undergrads (Shreyas class of 2028, Rohan class of 2027) — effectively college students with minimal professional experience. Rohan has a prior exit (Geri AI, acquired) which is a genuine signal, but the acquisition appears small/early-stage given he was in high school. Shreyas has 3-4 month internships at Tessera Labs and Opsera working on AI agents, which is relevant but thin. Neither has shipped a production product at scale.
Low Signal
Competition
The agent evals space is getting crowded fast — Braintrust, LangSmith (LangChain), Arize AI, Confident AI, and PromptFoo all operate in overlapping territory. Major platforms like LangChain and LlamaIndex are building native eval tooling. Ashr's differentiation (multimodal, user journey generation vs. one-off tests) is real but unproven at scale, and well-funded competitors have significant head starts.
Medium Signal
Product
Website shows a live demo with detailed multimodal testing scenarios (voice, image, file, chat), pass/fail test results, and SDK integration. They list a few customer logos (Human Behavior, Pax Historia, SkillSync) but no named testimonials, pricing page, or revenue metrics. Just launched per the website banner, so traction is early but product appears functional.
OverallC Tier

Ashr is addressing a genuinely important problem — agent evals are broken and every serious AI team needs this — but the execution risk is high. Both founders are Berkeley undergrads with essentially no professional track record; Rohan's prior acquisition is the strongest signal but appears to be a high school project. The product is live with a handful of named customers and a coherent multimodal differentiation story, but the competitive landscape is brutal with well-funded incumbents. The real question is whether two college students can out-execute Braintrust, LangSmith, and Arize before those platforms commoditize the space — the market timing is right but the team credibility gap is significant.
